This guide was created as a small sample of the character of the Ecuadorian Sierra’s villages, specifically in the Imbabura, Pichincha, Cotopaxi, Tungurahua and Azuay areas. For their representation we defined a curatorial demarcation based on customs, crops, festivities and local legends that flowed into a selection that deepened into each area’s identity.
